One of the best parts of living in Southern California is the year-round beach volleyball. We’ve rounded up our top 4 picks for scenic beaches at below. Don’t worry—one of our criteria was that it must have a beach volleyball net.
Lost Winds (Lasuens), San Clemente
Access to this beach is a small footpath heading down from a residential area in San Clemente. When you reach the beach, head to the right where you will find the beach volleyball nets and enjoy the spectacular scenery—make sure to look out into the waves where you can often find dolphins swimming close offshore.
Main Beach, Laguna
If you’re in the mood for some pickup games, this is the place to be. Play volleyball with the locals next to the iconic Laguna Beach boardwalk before crossing the street and grabbing some food at one of the close by restaurants.
Moonlight State Beach, Encinitas
Another great beach for some beach volleyball if you’re in San Diego. Bring your surfboard to catch some waves if the surf is good, too!
Sunset Beach, Huntington
You can’t beat the beauty of the long sandy beaches in Huntington, especially with the pier as a backdrop. There’s a great paved footpath if you bring a bike or want to stroll next to the beach houses.
